Role & Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Specialist at IBM, you will safeguard enterprise systems, networks, and applications against cyber threats. You will design security protocols, monitor threats, and ensure compliance with international security standards, working with global teams to maintain the integrity of IBM’s digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts, identify potential threats, and respond promptly to incidents.
Security Architecture & Implementation: Design and implement security measures for network infrastructure, cloud systems, and enterprise applications.
Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing: Conduct regular assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Policy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks.
Collaboration: Work with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to integrate security measures into system designs.
Incident Reporting: Prepare detailed incident reports and recommendations for risk mitigation.
Security Awareness: Provide guidance and training for staff on cybersecurity best practices.
Agile Environment: Participate in security-focused sprints, planning, and collaborative meetings.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Network Security, or IT Security roles

Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection

Knowledge of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and access control

Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security

Strong understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ preferred

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong English communication skills for international collaboration

Experience in incident response, penetration testing, and security audits is a plus
