Role & Responsibilities

This position involves providing comprehensive home-based care and support services to elderly individuals, patients recovering from illness or surgery, and persons with physical or mental disabilities. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that clients can live safely, comfortably, and independently within their own homes while receiving consistent and compassionate care.

The Home Support Worker acts as a key support system for clients, helping them manage daily routines, maintain personal dignity, and improve their overall quality of life. This role requires patience, responsibility, empathy, and strong attention to detail, as the caregiver works closely with individuals who may require continuous assistance.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining proper hygiene standards to ensure comfort and dignity.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding support, ensuring clients receive nutritious meals according to dietary needs and medical instructions.
Support clients with mobility and movement assistance, helping them safely move around the home, preventing falls, and ensuring physical safety.
Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning living areas, laundry, organizing household items, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Offer consistent companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness, improve mental well-being, and promote social interaction.
Monitor and observe the health condition of clients, including physical, emotional, and behavioral changes, and report any concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
Assist with medication reminders, ensuring clients take prescribed medicines on time as directed by healthcare providers or family instructions.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive home environment while following all care instructions and safety guidelines.
Respond appropriately in case of minor emergencies and escalate serious situations to supervisors or medical professionals when required.

Requirements

Applicants must possess basic English communication skills, including the ability to understand instructions, communicate clearly with clients, and coordinate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals during daily caregiving tasks.
