Role & Responsibilities

As a Live-in Caregiver in Vancouver, Canada, you will be a vital part of the support system for elderly, disabled, or chronically ill individuals. Your role goes beyond basic assistance – you will ensure the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of your clients while helping them live comfortably and independently in their own homes.


🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Personal Care & Hygiene Support

  • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting in a respectful and professional manner
  • Help clients maintain personal hygiene routines according to their individual needs
  • Support clients with mobility assistance, including walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, or using mobility aids

2. Nutrition & Meal Preparation

  • Prepare balanced and nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary restrictions or medical requirements
  • Ensure meals are served safely and timely, supporting clients with feeding assistance if needed
  • Monitor clients’ dietary intake and report any issues to family or medical professionals

3. Medication Management & Health Monitoring

  • Administer or remind clients about their medications on schedule
  • Monitor and record vital signs, health conditions, or behavioral changes
  • Report health concerns promptly to family members or healthcare providers
  • Assist with basic exercises or physiotherapy as advised by professionals

4. Emotional Support & Companionship

  • Provide companionship, conversation, and mental stimulation to reduce loneliness and improve emotional well-being

5. Household Management & Safety

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, following proper safety protocols

6. Documentation & Communication

  • Live-in arrangement with the client in Vancouver, Canada
