Role & Responsibilities

As a Home Support Worker in Toronto, Canada, you will play a critical role in improving the quality of life for elderly, disabled, or chronically ill clients. 🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Personal Care Assistance

  • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, respecting their privacy and dignity
  • Provide support for oral hygiene, hair care, and skin care routines
  • Help clients with transfers from bed to chair, wheelchair, or bathroom safely
  • Monitor clients for changes in skin, wounds, or general health conditions

2. Mobility & Exercise Support

  • Assist clients in performing light exercises or physical therapy routines prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Encourage movement to maintain flexibility, strength, and independence
  • Support clients in walking, standing, or moving safely using mobility aids if needed
  • Reduce the risk of falls or injuries through careful supervision

3. Nutrition & Meal Preparation

  • Prepare and serve balanced, nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or medical requirements

5. Emotional Support & Companionship

  • Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce loneliness and social isolation

6. Home Safety & Environment Management

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living space
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and ensuring hygienic conditions

7. Communication & Documentation

  • Communicate regularly with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client well-being
