Role & Responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at Save the Children International, you will be part of a global IT and data analytics team responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining advanced BI solutions that support critical programmatic decisions across the organization. You will partner with stakeholders to understand strategic data needs and translate them into actionable BI deliverables that drive organisational impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive BI solutions tailored to stakeholder requirements
  • Deliver accurate, timely dashboards, reports, and analytics that support global operations and strategic decisions
  • Work with SQL Server databases, create/modify T‑SQL scripts, stored procedures, and ad‑hoc queries
  • Collaborate with global IT teams and business owners to gather analytical requirements
  • Manage source control and follow best practices in software / BI development life cycles (e.g. Agile/Waterfall)
  • Translate complex analytical requirements into detailed technical specifications
  • Maintain and update BI documentation, standards, and configuration guides
  • Foster innovation by creating new BI concepts and proof‑of‑concept solutions
  • Communicate insights, patterns, and trends to both technical and non‑technical audiences 

Requirements

✔ Experience delivering BI solutions using tools like SQL Server, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and related technologies
✔ Strong understanding of data modelling, analytics concepts, and database design
✔ Experience maintaining source control (e.g., Git) and working with SDLC methodologies
✔ Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex data insights clearly
✔ Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and self‑motivated work approach
✔ Ability to work across cultural and geographical teams

👉 Desirable Skills: Knowledge of modern cloud analytics (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory), Python/Scala, CRM/ERP familiarity, agile project delivery experience.
