Role & Responsibilities

This position involves providing comprehensive live-in caregiving support to elderly individuals, children, or patients who require continuous assistance with their daily living activities within a residential home environment. The caregiver is expected to reside at the employer’s home or designated accommodation to ensure round-the-clock support, safety, and companionship for the client.

The primary objective of this role is to maintain the physical well-being, emotional stability, and overall quality of life of the individual under care while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and structured living environment.


📌 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-time personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining hygiene standards for clients.
  • Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as feeding, toileting, mobility support, and routine household tasks.
  • Deliver live-in supervision and continuous care, ensuring the safety and well-being of the client at all times.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and dietary requirements are followed.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning living spaces, laundry, and maintaining a safe and organized home environment.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including helping clients move safely within the home and assisting with walking or transfers.
  • Administer or remind clients about medication schedules as instructed by family members or healthcare professionals.
  • Offer emotional support, companionship, and social interaction to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
  • Monitor and observe the client’s physical and mental condition and report any changes to the employer or healthcare provider.
  • Ensure continuous supervision and emergency response readiness when required.
  • Follow all household rules, care plans, and healthcare instructions provided by the employer or medical professionals.
  • Maintain professionalism, patience, and respect while dealing with sensitive caregiving situations.

Requirements

  • Applicants must possess basic English communication skills, including the ability to understand instructions, respond appropriately, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors in daily caregiving tasks.
  • Freshers are eligible to apply, provided they demonstrate a genuine willingness to learn and adapt to caregiving responsibilities. Many employers may offer basic training or orientation for selected candidates.
  • Candidates must be physically fit and medically healthy, as the job requires assisting with mobility, lifting support, standing for long hours, and performing routine caregiving duties.
  • A valid passport is mandatory for international employment processing and visa application procedures. Applicants should ensure that their travel documents are up to date and valid.
  • Prior experience in caregiving, nursing assistance, home care, or healthcare support roles is preferred but not compulsory. Relevant experience can improve selection chances, but motivation and responsibility are equally valued.
  • Applicants may be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) to confirm a clean background record, ensuring trust and safety when working with vulnerable individuals such as elderly people or children.
