Job Summary

The Caregiver / Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality personal care and daily living assistance to elderly clients. The role focuses on ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of patients while maintaining their dignity, comfort, and independence in a home or care facility setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to elderly individuals, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
• Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) such as feeding, mobility support, toileting, and basic physical exercises.
• Support clients in meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements and nutritional needs are properly followed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning client rooms, organizing living spaces, laundry, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
• Administer or remind clients to take prescribed medications on time as per care plan and medical instructions.
• Monitor and observe clients’ physical and emotional condition and report any changes or concerns to senior healthcare staff or family members.
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and social interaction to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
• Assist with safe mobility, including walking support, transfers, and use of mobility aids when required.
• Maintain accurate daily care notes and documentation as per employer or healthcare guidelines.
• Follow all workplace safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols strictly.

• Candidate must have basic English communication skills (spoken and understanding level) to interact with clients and healthcare staff effectively.
• Previous experience in Caregiving, Home Care, Nursing Assistant, or Elderly Support will be considered an advantage; however, freshers with relevant training may also apply.
• Applicant must be physically fit and capable of performing duties that involve standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients.
• Basic knowledge of personal care, hygiene support, and elderly assistance techniques is required.
• Must possess a valid passport with eligibility to apply for international employment.
• Good interpersonal skills such as patience, empathy, responsibility, and emotional stability are essential for this role.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and follow instructions from supervisors and healthcare professionals.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts (day/night/weekends) as per employer requirements.
• Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and basic medical fitness report may be required before final selection.
• Candidates should be willing to commit to a long-term employment contract as per visa sponsorship terms. 

• Successful candidates may be eligible for long-term employment stability with opportunities for contract extension based on performance and employer requirements.
