Selection Process
- The selection for RPF Assistant / Technician 2026 is conducted in multiple stages to ensure merit-based recruitment:
- Written Exam (CBT) – Computer Based Test consisting of multiple-choice questions covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, and Technical subjects (for Technician posts).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Candidates qualifying the CBT are required to undergo physical fitness tests as per RPF standards.
- Document Verification (DV) – Verification of certificates, age proof, caste certificates, educational qualifications, and other required documents.
- Final Merit List – Based on marks obtained in the written exam and qualifying PET, the final merit list is prepared.
- Note: Only candidates meeting all the eligibility and physical standards will be considered for the final appointment.
PET / Physical Standards
- RPF has set minimum physical requirements for candidates to ensure fitness for field duties:
- Parameter Male Candidates Female Candidates
- Height 170 cm 157 cm
- Running 1.6 km in 6 minutes 1 km in 6 minutes
- Other Tests Chest: 81-85 cm (expanded), Medical Fitness Medical Fitness
- Candidates failing to meet the physical standards will not be allowed to proceed further in the selection process.
